How it Describes “My Elmira”

Home is especially important to me and since I was a little girl a sign of a cozy home is a bouquet of flowers. My grandmother and mother have an eye for beautiful blooms so I’ve been lucky to be around pretty flowers most of my life. To this day I always like a fresh bouquet of flowers in my kitchen island and that means I’m home. Here is my town of Elmira I’m lucky to find flower stands all around on the drive. As I’m driving back into my hometown one of my favourite things to do is pickup a fresh bouquet of flowers for me. The dishes might need to be done and the laundry- but at least I have my flowers and it feels like home.

Artist Statement

I’m a local through and through who was raised in Elmira and am now raising my 4 awesome kids here. I’ve always had my hands making things and in the last decade I have opened my home to encourage others to keep creating too. I run a small business called the Art House and I suppose my goal all along has been to share the joy of the art of living.
