How it Describes “My Elmira”
These three panels work together to create one painting representing fields in various shades of green, blue and gold. The shapes within the fields could also represent quilt squares stitched together. This painting reminds me of the rich farming and quilting history in Elmira.
Artist Statement
Elmira is all about community, traditions, countryside and quilts! It’s a growing community but still retains its charm and vitality.

Artist Bio
I’m a visual artist painting with acrylic on canvas. Several different painting styles allow me an abundance of freedom to select subject matter for work. I may set up a still life using patterned fabric as a backdrop, take a drive through the countryside and from memory, paint the beautiful landscape I saw or decide to create an abstract painting using colour and shapes for inspiration.
